Hampshire’s largest cherry orchard held its’ inaugural tour day on Sunday 24th July 2016.

The tour day was well attended, more so with it being the first year.
A steady stream of local folks and some not so local (Aberdeen!) called in for a guided tour, to sample a cherry or two and to take away punnets of succulent, juicy cherries.

Having been involved with the very successful this year, beekeeper Tom was there with a display showcasing why pollination is so important to fruit and our other food crops.

The day was also an opportunity to provide a close-up of at work in their hive, the observation hive we built earlier in the week was extremely popular, including spot the queen .

Enjoy the photo’s; we will be at the Blackmoor apple tasting day on October 9th, a lovely┬áday for family and friends that showcase a wide variety of apples to taste and take away on the day, also many crafts and other items of interest.

We will, of course, be there this year with observation hives and gorgeous Blackmoor honey, produced from the beehives on the Blackmoor Estate

See you at the Blackmoor apple tasting day.
