It has been a very, very busy swarm collection week.

This collection started out as a request to remove a colony from inside the arm of a JCB digger, never refusing a swarm of bees and liking the odd challenge I duly attended.

As described it was indeed an established colony, not a swarm, however! The colony had swarmed between my receiving the phone call and arriving that same morning, a large cluster of bees were less than 10 yards from the original colony, a double collection.

The video below shows bees fanning at the entrance and bees entering their new hive, plenty of activity.
