This year the Hampshire county honey show is being held at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens Romsey, 1st & 2nd October 2016, the Hampshire county honey show has lots of information and is a feast for the eyes.

The weather threatened to be inclement for much of the day but as you can see from the above photo, eventually, the sun shone on the righteous.

This year there is a fantastic array of stands covering many aspects of and derived products like local , and mead, there is also an area that covers historic beekeeping methods and equipment.

There are also judged entries! Hampshire have entered their honey and wax harvested from their hard-working .

Not many
Not many truffles left, I must get a job as a judge 🙂

Many of Hampshire’s  associations have put together a great deal of information and donated their free time to answer questions.

Perfect for the kids, there is candle making (Rolling sheets of wax) so your little ones can take away a memory of the day and feel pretty good about making something worthwhile.
